Ebola Virus Confirmed In Guinea's Capital: Woe To The Inhabitants Of The Earth! There Will Be Plagues And Infectious Diseases!

28 March 2014 Authorities in Guinea scrambled on Friday to halt the spread of Ebola in the capital as the Health Ministry identified another four suspected cases of a deadly virus outbreak that is estimated to have already killed 70.

Officials said the previous day that five cases of Ebola had been detected in Conakry, a city of more than 2 million people, some 300 kilometres from the previous infections in the West African country's remote southeast. One elderly man died and four male relatives were quarantined.

Authorities in Guinea have launched an investigation into the movements of the infected men in Conakry and steps are being taken to deal with anyone who came into contact with them, the government said in a statement.

The arrival of the disease in the capital, where hundreds of thousands of people live tightly packed in rambling shanties, could mark a sharp increase in the population at risk compared with the sparsely populated villages of the forested interior.

111 suspected cases

In neighbouring Sierra Leone and Liberia, 11 more people have died from suspected Ebola, stirring concern that one of the most lethal infectious diseases known to man could be spreading in an impoverished region ill-equipped to cope.

In Guinea, 111 suspected cases have been detected, almost all in the remote forest region, centred on Gueckedou. The mortality rate from the infection is running at 64 percent, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said.

"Families have been decimated. When you go into rural areas, especially in Gueckedou, you see villages where there are lots of people infected," said Mariano Lugli, emergency coordinator for Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

Lugli said containing the outbreak was made difficult by the itinerant nature of the local culture, where people often travel to visit relatives and conduct commerce. "Our biggest difficulty is isolating the cases and putting them in centres for specialised care so they cannot infect other people," he said.

In Gueckedou, MSF has constructed an isolation ward with 20 beds for patients, he said. Television images from the scene showed the ward, its inside coated with plastic wrapping, and medical staff wearing protective facemasks and clothing. CBC Read More>>>>>

Because He Hath Regarded The Humility Of His Handmaid; For Behold From Henceforth All Generations Shall Call Me Blessed

ANGELICO, Fra
The Annunciation
1430-32

My soul doth magnify the Lord.
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; and holy is his name.
And his mercy is from generation unto generations, to them that fear him.
He hath shewed might in his arm: he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble.
He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He hath received Israel his servant, being mindful of his mercy:
As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed for ever.

Now 108 Souls Missing/Dead From Massive Washington Mudslide! At The First Blow Of His Thundering Sword, The Mountains And All Nature Will Tremble In Terror!

Arlington, Washington
“At the first blow of His thundering sword, the mountains and all Nature will tremble in terror, for the disorders and crimes of men have pierced the vault of the heavens. Paris will burn and Marseilles will be engulfed. Several cities will be shaken down and swallowed up by earthquakes. People will believe that all is lost. 24 Mar. 2014 ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — There are 108 names on the list of people who’ve been reported missing or unaccounted for in the weekend mudslide in Washington state, authorities said Monday. Snohomish County emergency management director John Pennington said that’s the consolidated list from various sources that authorities are working from, and it doesn’t mean there are that many injuries or fatalities. “It’s a soft 108,” Pennington said at a news conference. Among the possible missing are construction workers coming into the neighborhood and people just driving by. Pennington added the slide occurred on a Saturday morning, when more people were likely to be home. An overnight search turned up no additional survivors or fatalities. “The situation is very grim,” Snohomish County Fire District 21 Chief Travis Hots said Monday morning. He stressed that authorities are still in rescue mode and are holding out hope. But he noted: “We have not found anyone alive on this pile since Saturday.” At least eight people were killed in the 1-square-mile slide that hit in a rural area about 55 miles northeast of Seattle. Several people also were critically injured, and about 30 homes were destroyed. Of the 49 structures in the neighborhood hit by the slide, authorities believe at least 25 were occupied full-time.

Massive Washington Mudslide 18 Souls Perish! At The First Blow Of His Thundering Sword, The Mountains And All Nature Will Tremble In Terror!

“At the first blow of His thundering sword, the mountains and all Nature will tremble in terror, for the disorders and crimes of men have pierced the vault of the heavens. 22 Mar 2014 ARLINGTON, Wash. — Eighteen people remained unaccounted for Sunday, authorities say, a day after a massive mudslide killed at least three people and forced evacuations because of fears of flooding. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee described the scene as "a square mile of total devastation" after flying over the disaster area Sunday. He assured families that everything was being done to find their missing loved ones. "There is a full scale, 100 percent aggressive rescue going on right now," he said. Snohomish County Fire District 21 Chief Travis Hots said the number of missing is fluid and could change because some people may have been in cars and on roads when the slide hit just before 11 a.m. Saturday. The mud was so thick and deep that searchers turned back late Saturday after attempting to reach an area where voices were heard crying for help. Rescuers couldn't hear any signs of life once they got closer, and the decision was made to back out due to safety reasons, Hots said. Authorities say the slide wiped out one neighborhood of 28 to 30 homes. The mud was reported to be about 60 feet deep in some areas. As authorities tried to determine how to get responders on the ground safely, helicopters were flying over the area looking for people who may have been able to get out on their own and for any other signs of life. The slide has blocked the north fork of the Stillaguamish River. "The mudflow is moving, we have a massive amount of water that is beginning to back up and has backed up since this thing blocked the river," said Hots. Hots said the slide debris has the consistency of "quicksand" and rescuers can't go back in until they get a better assessment of the conditions. People downstream from the blockage were advised to evacuate Saturday night but the evacuation recommendation was lifted for daylight hours. Director of Emergency Management John Pennington said the situation is a "disaster within a disaster." "We really have two disaster operations going — one that has occurred and the unique thing about this event is that there is another event that most likely can occur," said Pennington. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for Snohomish County through Sunday afternoon. People who live in the North Fork's flood plain, from the small communities of Oso to Stanwood, were urged to flee to higher ground. Forecasters warned that flooding also was possible north of the slide area. The Weather Service said "catastrophic flooding" was unlikely downstream, but authorities were taking no chances and urged people to leave. "Treat this as if you would any large flood warning in Snohomish County," he said. "We're really good at this in this county; in this case it's a very serious issue." The cause of the slide is believed to be ground water saturation from heavy rainfall in the area previously this month. "It sounds very realistic with all the rain earlier in the month," AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alan Reppert said. "There hasn't been much precipitation in the last few days," he said. Everett, Wash., 31 miles southwest of Oso, has had 5.64 inches of rain this month -- which is more than 2 1/2 times what the city typically receives in March, AccuWeather reported. Authorities are using helicopters, and plan to drop rescuers into areas if they find signs of life. The slide has blocked about a mile of a state highway. Several people — including an infant — were critically injured and at least 16 homes were destroyed. First responders in Snohomish County, Wash., called it the worst slide, the worst natural disaster, they've seen in decades. "Think back to what Mount St. Helens and Toutle River looked like — and that's what we're looking at," said Rodney Rochon of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. The National Weather Service said the river level dropped from 3.1 feet to 0.9 feet in the hour after the slide occurred, confirming the river was blocked by the slide. There Will Be Bloody Wars And Famines, Plagues And Infectious Diseases: New Outbreak Of Deadly Flesh-Eating Ebola Virus Has Already Killed At Least 59 Souls In Guinea!

There will be bloody wars and famines, plagues and infectious diseases Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
At least 59 people have died in Guinea following the outbreak of deadly flesh-eating virus Ebola. The first cases of the haemorrhagic fever were spotted late last month. With no known cure or vaccine, health ministers have warned people to stay inside while they try to stop it spreading. Symptoms include internal and external bleeding, vomiting and diarrhoea. It is spread by personal contact and kills 25-90 per cent of those infected. 'In Guinea, a country with a weak medical infrastructure, an outbreak like this can be devastating,' the Unicef representative in Guinea, Dr. Mohamed Ag Ayoya, said in a statement. Unicef has prepositioned supplies and stepped up communication on the ground to sensitise medical staff and local populations on how to avoid contracting the illness, Agoya added. Analysts suggest this is the first instance of Ebola in Guinea, as it is more commonly found in Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. Officials have urged people to stay calm, wash their hands and report all cases to authorities. Daily Mail Read More>>>>>

16 Mar 2014 Muscat: Two more people were killed and another went missing Sunday in the heavy rain that has been lashing Oman for the past three days, taking the death toll to six. An Omani and an expatriate were washed away Sunday in their vehicle by a wadi (stream) in Jebel Al Akhdar, an official at the Public Authority of Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) told Gulf News. The bodies were recovered two hours later. Another national has gone missing in Dima wa Tayen province when he tried to cross a wadi on Sunday morning. Seven people trapped in the wadis were rescued nationwide by the Royal Air Force and police on Sunday. Four people sustained light to medium injuries following two road accidents due to the rainfall, an official at the ROP told Gulf News. Also, a wave of dust has lashed the northern parts of Oman leading to poor visibility but no accidents have been reported so far. Light to moderate rains fell in a number of governorates in the Sultanate on Sunday, which led to the overflow of wadis. Cyclone Lusi Hits Vanuatu 9 Souls Perish!

Water and fire will give the earth's globe convulsions and terrible earthquakes which will swallow up mountains, cities, etc...Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
14 Mar 2014 Three people are dead and six more missing in Vanuatu after a cyclone hit the Pacific Island nation. Authorities were flying over the affected northern islands Friday to assess the extent of the damage, said Shadrack Welegtabit, the director of Vanuatu's National Disaster Management Office. He said Cyclone Lusi struck Monday and lasted through Wednesday. "Most cyclones are quick, just two or three hours," he said. "This one was here for two days." New Zealand is now bracing for Lusi. It's expected to make landfall in the northern part of the country, including the biggest city Auckland, late Friday. Welegtabit said that in Vanuatu, he's hearing reports of widespread crop damage as well as flooding and mudslides. He said some freshwater supplies have been contaminated by floodwaters and some buildings have been destroyed. He said two elderly people died in separate incidents after being struck by trees and an infant also died after being swept away by floodwaters. Vanuatu is home to about 267,000 people on 65 inhabited islands. About 100,000 people live on the islands worst affected by the storm. Lusi caused only minimal damage to the capital, Port Vila. David Gibson, a Vanuatu government forecast manager, said winds topped 110 kilometers (68 miles) per hour during the storm and that as well as those who died, five more people were seriously injured. New Zealand's MetService forecasting agency is predicting wind gusts of up to 130 kilometers per hour (81 miles per hour) in some places and up to 17 centimeters (7 inches) of rain. ABC

12 Mar.2014 Seven people have died in floods that hit northern Hail province of mainly desert Saudi Arabia, local media reported Wednesday. The floods were triggered by heavy downpours that struck the region on Tuesday. The victims had either drowned or were killed in car accidents caused by the floods. The authorities ordered schools in the region to close and blocked access to wadies to prevent further drownings. In November, 11 people died in floods that hit various areas of Saudi Arabia, one of the world's driest countries.

There Will Be Bloody Wars And Famines, Plagues And Infectious Diseases:Global Pandemic Of Smallpox On The Way?

There will be bloody wars and famines, plagues and infectious diseases Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)

It was one of the world’s most feared diseases that covered a person’s body in painful pus-filled spots. And scientists fear that smallpox, which was eradicated in 1979, could re-emerge from the most unlikely of places – defrosting corpses. A handful of experts fear that bodies infected with the disease, which are defrosting in Siberia - having become exposed from melting frost – could potentially begin a cycle of infection, should a person make contact with the remains. Concerns have been raised for years, but a newly-discovered 'giant' 30,000-year-old virus found in Siberian permafrost has led France's National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) to warn that the prospect of a smallpox comeback cannot be ruled out. A report by BBC Future questioned whether frozen bodies of people who had smallpox – and might have died from the disease – could release the virus into the environment. If such a scenario did occur, it could potentially start a global pandemic. Daily Mail Read More>>>>

Two Women Stung By Thousands Of Bees

“Nature is asking for vengeance because of man, and she trembles with dread at what must happen to the earth stained with crime. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
Two women drivers involved in a car crash who have not been named were stung by over 600 angry bees after one of the cars hit and dislodged a hive. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Jose Larios says the collision occurred on Sunday in suburban La Canada Flintridge, California. The collision occurred around 2:50 p.m. on the 200 block of Los Amigos Street, reported KTLA. One of the drivers, a 51-year-old woman, jumped into a backyard swimming pool to escape being stung by the swarming insects. The driver of the other car, a 17-year-old girl, fell to the street where a deputy found her covered in bees. He had to use a fire extinguisher and then a neighbor's hose to stop the violent swarm of bees from harming her. Each of the poor drivers were stung over 600 times between the both of them. After a car dislodged the hive, 1,000 perturbed bees were released into the area. The 17-year-old was screaming so loud that 'neighbors started pouring out of their homes,' said CBS reporter Bobby Kaple. Daily Mail Read More>>>>

Rains, Hailstorm In Maharashtra 12 Souls Perish

Water and fire will give the earth's globe convulsions and terrible earthquakes which will swallow up mountains, cities, etc...Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
10 Mar. 2014 Heavy rain accompanied by hailstorms in 28 districts of Maharashtra claimed the lives of at least 12 people and caused widespread damage to crops, affecting nearly five million farmers, officials said Monday. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan spoke to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Election Commission to apprise them of the situation, and said the government will ensure aid to the farmers while taking care not to violate the model code of conduct. Large areas of Baramati, Nagpur and Pune were hit by rain even Monday. "In the past 10 days or so, around 800,000 hectares spread across 28 districts in the state were hit by either heavy rain or severe hailstorms," Agriculture Commissioner Umakant Dangat told IANS. The damage included around 50,000 hectares of fruit crops, including grapes, oranges, bananas and pomegranates. The crop of wheat, jowar and grams has been virtually razed while the cotton crop has also been affected, he said. The hail carpeted fields, farms and highways in Beed, Latur, Nashik, Dhule, Satara, Pune, Nagpur and other places. Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, who toured some of the worst-hit regions Monday, announced that the affected farmers shall be given aid and compensation on priority. "A central team will arrive here Thursday to assess the damage and losses suffered by the farmers. It will submit its report and later announce necessary relief measures," Pawar said. The chief minister will go on a two-day tour starting Tuesday to some of the worst affected regions of Marathwada and Vidarbha. "We shall ensure aid to the farmers while taking care not to violate the Election Commission's model code of conduct which is now in force," Chavan told media persons. The Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti has also written to the Election Commission urging postponement of the polls in the state by a fortnight to enable payment of compensation to the farmers. The heavy rain has also killed thousands of cattle, goats, fowl, wild birds and other smaller creatures. New Indian Express

The latest eruptive phase of the volcano continues at decreased strength. The second paroxysm of Pacaya this year, only about 6 weeks after the previous one in January, started yesterday morning with lava fountains, associated ash emissions, as well as a new lava flow that quickly reached about 2 km length. The current seismic signal suggests that activity continues at a decreasing trend. Images from later during yesterday showed that lava fountaining and lava effusion had already decreased significantly after the first hours. According to local news, a first increase in explosive activity at the summit vent of the Mackenney crater occurred already on the evening of 1 March at 17:00 local time, followed by a loud explosion at 05h15 the next morning, which opened a new vent between the old cone of Cerro Chino and the Mackenney crater. A lava flow began to issue from this new vent and satellite images about 5 hours later showed that it reached about 1 km length to the NW in that time. A video on facebook shows lava fountains from the summit vent. An ash plume, well visible from Guatemala city and on satellite imagery, rose about 2 km above the volcano and drifted more than 100 km to the west-southwest. Light ash fall occurred in areas such as Escuintla (22 km to the SW). Authorities are evaluating the need to evacuate residents near the villages El Patrocinio and El Rodeo on the SW foot of Pacaya. CONRED raised the civil alert level for the area to yellow.Volcano Discovery

Niagara Falls Freezes To A Dead Halt!

For the second time in what has been a frigid winter in the Northeastern United States, Niagara falls has come to an icy halt as the six million cubic feet of water that typically flow over the falls every minute has frozen over. The flow of water over the falls typically can withstand icy temperatures like those that have frozen much of the country this winter, but Monday's high of 9 degrees Fahrenheit brought Niagara Falls to a standstill - and photographers were there to snap some stunning images of the frozen waterfall. In January, another record-breaking cold front managed to freeze the mighty falls in a 'polar vortex' that turned the cascading water to ice - and affected about 240 million people in the U.S. and southern Canada. No thaw is expected anytime soon, as temperatures at the western New York tourist attraction will dip below 0 degrees Fahrenheit Monday night through Tuesday morning. Daily Mail Read More>>>>>

Mt La Perouse Landslide! At The First Blow Of His Thundering Sword, The Mountains And All Nature Will Tremble In Terror!

Mount La Perouse
Before

“At the first blow of His thundering sword, the mountains and all Nature will tremble in terror, for the disorders and crimes of men have pierced the vault of the heavens. Paris will burn and Marseilles will be engulfed. Several cities will be shaken down and swallowed up by earthquakes. People will believe that all is lost. Nothing will be seen but murder, nothing will be heard but the clash of arms and blasphemy. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
Mt La Perouse
After

16 Feb 2014 One of the largest natural landslides in recent years took place in a remote area of southeastern Alaska on February 16, when 68 million tonnes of rock and debris crashed down a mountainside leaving deposits 40 foot deep. Large landslides in remote locations used to go unnoticed, but a new crowdsourcing approach involving a UK-based blogger, an Alaskan helicopter pilot and NASA, helped scientists pinpoint the exact location of this latest slide. This innovative new approach is the result of the discovery last year by two Columbia University scientists that seismic data can reveal the time, force, direction, and speed of a large landslide. Unlike earthquakes, which release bursts of energy for a few seconds, landslides create sustained seismic readings that can last many minutes. Daily Mail Read More>>

The severity of California's current drought has been realized by the release of two NASA pictures of Folsom Lake and the desolation it has suffered in just two and a half years. The reservoir, located northeast of Sacremento, California, can be seen almost full on July 20, 2011, measuring a capacity of 97 percent. But in a shot taken just last month, the lake had a capacity of just 17 percent. The devastating images have added to the need for the west coast to better manage its water resources, with the record drought forcing a state of emergency and NASA now working to help the crisis.Daily Mail Read More>>>>>>
