Japan’s 2016 Chum Salmon Catch Below 100,000t


Japan's Hokkaido Fisheries Research Center, which is part of the Japan Fisheries Research and Development Agency, on Feb. 24 announced the overview of the national Chum fisheries situation. The total national catch for the 2016 fishery season fell 29% year-on-year to 93,669 metric tons. The harvest in Hokkaido was the worst in 24 years. Source
