NJ Bobcat breaks Into Home & Holds Family Hostage!

Bobcat traps mom, 2 kids in Washington Township home

WASHINGTON (MORRIS) -- A bobcat trapped a mother and two young children in the bathroom of their East Mill Road home on Wednesday, police said. Officers responded to the home shortly before 6 p.m. on a report of a bobcat inside the residence, township police said in a news release. Sgt. Robert Oranchak found the mother and children had locked themselves in the bathroom after seeing the bobcat near the back door, police said. Oranchak and Officer Scott Myers saw the bobcat on the first floor of the residence, and, after opening the exterior doors and kitchen window, the bobcat left the home through the kitchen window after about an hour, police said. The bobcat, which did not appear sick or rabid, then ran into the woods, police said. No one was injured during the incident and the bobcat didn't make contact with anyone, police said. The bobcat also did not damage the residence. Source
